Even more badges
Here are a few more badges you can collect as you progress in archery.
Most are personal achievement badges and simply require you to shoot and score. Some are specifically for tournaments, but there are also some you can get at club level too.
6 Gold end Badge
The 6 Gold end badge can be claimed at an official club day or a tournament. To qualify, all 6 arrows in a single end must be in the Gold (hence the name 6 Gold end). It can only be claimed at the two longest distances for your particular category.
3 Gold end Badge
The 3 Gold end badge is for Longbows only and can be claimed at an official club day or a tournament. To qualify, all 3 arrows in a single end must be in the Gold (hence the name 3 Gold end). It can only be claimed at the two longest distances for your Longbow category.
Rose Award Badge
The Rose badge can be claimed at York or Hereford round tournaments (depending on your category). They start at 800 for the White Rose incrementing in 100's for each colour up to 1200 for the Gold Rose
Star Award Badge
The Star badge can be claimed at WA1440 round tournaments. They start at 1000 for the first Star incrementing in 100's for each colour up to 1400 for the Purple Star
Daffodil Badges
Daffodil badges are available for archers in Wales to claim when shooting at York or Hereford rounds and attaining the required score for each colour badge (score required depends on category and bow type). These are free for archers in a Welsh affiliated club like Castle bowmen.
The Welsh Archery Association Dragon Badge
The dragon badge comes in 5 colours (white, black, blue, red and Gold) and can be claimed when you shoot a Portsmouth round in a tournament. The higher the colour the higher the score needed to claim it.
County Team Badge
The Glamorgan County team badge is given to any archer representing the county at the annual Inter-County tournament held by the Welsh Archery Association each year. To get into the team all you do is enter your tournament scores on the team application form and they choose the best archers who apply.
